In their seventh season together sole bay played in their first ever final against Kirkley / pakefield royals , it would turn out to be a day to remember . 6 min Charlie b raced thro , his shot was saved but the rebound fell to guy who's shot was cleared off the line. 9 min Dom confidently saves a long shot. 12 min Kirkley take the lead with an excellent move down the right 1-0. 17 min josh passes to Charlie b who expertly fires home high into the net 1-1. 24 min kp regain the lead , a shot hits the post which fell to oli but his clearance was intercepted and smartly cracked home 2-1 . 29 min josh passes to Charlie b who tucks the ball in 2-2. 31 min Charlie b receives the ball and guides it thro to josh he fires in a cross which the keeper can't hang on to and Charlie b smacks the ball home 3-2. 35 min kp make it 3-3 with a firm strike. Half time , 36 min ruben crosses for Charlie b and he grabs the lead again with a left foot shot 4-3 .40 min josh takes a short corner to Tyler , he passes back to josh , josh moves towards goal and caressed the ball high in the air past the keeper and into the top corner 5-3. 50 min kp score again with a 30 yard screamer 5-4. 58 min kp draw level 5-5. 65 min guy makes room for himself in the box but can't get his shot off. The ref blows for full time . Extra time , 2 min Charlie b ' s shot thuds onto the bar . 5 min kp take the lead after a shot was blocked by syd the ball fell kindly to a kp forward who made no mistake 6-5 . Kirkley then made it 7-5 with a great shot over keeper Dom . The whistle goes , which would leave sole bay 10 minutes to pull 2 goals back. Waiting for the whistle to start the last period of play , the bays look dead on their feet , the task in hand would surely be too much for the bays from reydon , but captain Jacob was yelling out to his team to keep battling. The whistle goes , all the spectators were now fully immersed and the excitement would carry on , Tyler who was still running his heart out got the ball and passed to josh , he then made ground and passed back to Tyler and his shot was fumbled , on hand was Charlie b to make it 7-6 , this goal revived the bays belief . 4 min Tyler again charged thro the flagging Kirkley players and passed to josh , he steadied himself and unleashed a thunderbolt that gave the keeper no chance 7-7 . The match was now at fever pitch , sole bay had the initiative but could they finally finish off k/p. 6 min will shoots the ball falls to charlie b and amazingly scores his sixth goal of the game , as he wheels away in celebration ,the look of delight and determination etched on his face will be an abiding memory of this pulsating final . The final few minutes were a blurr , but the ref finally blows his whistle , which leads to delirious celebrations for the bays. Team was Dom in goal made many important saves , Archie left back our own mighty mo , Tyler right back they call him messi ! , centre back Charlie t you shall not pass !, centre back and captain Jacob solid , powerfull faultless display , ruben left wing great performance , josh right wing beckam like, Sydney centre midfield awesome tackling and passing , Will centre midfield bewildering ball control , Guy great hold up play , Charlie b match winning performance , Harry left wing pace and determination , Oliver left back the interceptor !
This game will never be forgotten , our opponents Kirkley /pakefield played their hearts out scored 7 goals but ended up runners up , Sole bay became heroes and lifted the cup . |

A cold Easter Sunday for this end of season game. 8 min guy hit the post . 12 min Charlie b hit a great left foot cross but josh was not able to reach. 13 min guy should have scored but he could not find a gap through a mass of players . 20 min Charlie b fed josh but his shot was saved . 21 min a dynamo winger chanced his luck with a speculative lob , his shot fooled Harry but Archie was on hand to clear the ball but in a generous act poked the ball in 1-0 dynamos . 27 min ruben hits a great shot which rebounds back off the bar . 32 min a dynamo player lined himself up for a long throw in , ruben read what was going on and nipped and headed to Will , he strode forward and passed to Charlie b , he pulled the ball back for guy who neatly finished 1-1 . Second half , 1 min Charlie b played in ruben who made it 2-1 to the bays . 4 min , dynamos keeper hit a goal kick straight to josh , he controlled then fired home 1-3 . 22 min ruben made it 1-4 after volleying the ball home . 28 min syd who was Feeling unwell decided to go upfront , he made the keeper sprawl to his left after a good shot. 32 min ruben floats in a nice corner , Will confidently nods the ball in 1-5. Sole finish their league campaign and look like finishing 5th , in 2 weeks they will play in the shield final . |

Sole Bay U13s 5 v 0 Belton FC
Team: Dom, Harry, Archie, Oliver, Jacob, Charlie T, Tyler, Will, Syd, Adam, Guy, Charlie B, Rueben and Josh.
Sole Bay lined up to take on Belton with coach Dids away on a European scouting mission. Despite an enthusiastic warm up directed by coach Chris the Bays started in a manner as leaden as the skies. After settling a little in a game that was very narrow the Bays finally started to use the width, Charlie B crossed from the right and Archie saw his well struck shot go wide of the post. Chris was willing the boys on and once again great work by Josh down the wing allowed him to find Tyler on the edge of the box, his shot was keenly struck and the keeper did well to tip the ball over the bar.
Belton were to be no walk over however and were unlucky not to take the lead. Their centre back made a surging run from defence and left the Bays in his wake. Dom did well to close him down and was able to watch his shot go wide of the mark.
Sole Bay were now keeping some pressure on their opponents and more good work on the right wing saw Guy going close with a placed shot. It was Sole Bay who broke the deadlock. Will unleashed a speculative lob-shot, the keeper misjudged and dropped the ball, Charlie B on hand - looking to snatch a goal - saw his shot blocked only for the ball to fall to Harry who made no mistake and drove the ball home (1-0).

Sole bay played their nemesis beckvale , they obliged their opponents with a Saturday fixture. 5 min syd showed skill to set up guy , but his shot was wide . 6 min the boys took the lead . 12 min Tyler burst thro but couldn't get a shot off. 13 min the boys made it 2-0. 15 min guy was unaware that the goalie had come out and couldn't get a lob shot away. 20 min will tackled the goalie but his shot just missed an empty goal. Second half the boys made it 3-0 after 2 mins , all 3 goals were similar in as much that the bays seemed unwilling to clear their lines , which played into the hands of the marauding style of the boys . 7 min guy skipped past goalie and went for goal but his shot smacked into the post. 12 min Jacob hit a lovely corner in and will was about to nod home but was pushed . 13 min Jacob floats in another corner but the bays couldn't convert. 15 min will jinked free but his volley went over . 32 min Tyler seemingly dribbled round the whole team but his shot was saved . After 3 defeats in the last 4 , sole bays season has fizzled out and with 1 game to go may only finish 5th which will be a disappointing , but they still have the shield final to come and a chance to redeem themselves. Team Dom,ollie,Adam,Charlie t , Jacob,Tyler .sydney, Archie , Harry .
Will and guy . Moms were Charlie t who was as always brilliant and syd who had a superb first half . |

Sole bay travelled up the a12 to play the maggies,knowing that a victory would put them above their opponents in the league.3 min ruben crossed for guy but his shot was saved . 9 min josh shot wide. 15 min Charlie b tested the keeper with a well struck shot.17 min captain Jacob hit a long range effort but couldn't hit the target. 18 min Charlie b shot wide. 19 min Tyler went on a great run but his shot was saved . 28 min the pies fired in a high shot that looped over keeper Dom 1-0. 33 min syd tackled and won the ball , he swept it out wide to josh , he hit a peach of a cross that Charlie b smashed home 1-1. 35 min the pies forward rifled in a shot that left Dom no chance 2-1. Second half the pies extended their lead to 3-1 after Dom couldn't hold onto a shot. 27 min syd played in ruben who scored with ease 3-2 . The comeback never happened as the bays let in another soft goal , full time score 4-2. Blundeston gained revenge and the result has knocked the bays out of the running for promotion, the bays tried hard but it was not to be . Man of the match were Jacob and Sydney . |
